Lynsey Addario is an American photographer and journalist. Many of her works are inspired by issues of conflict and human rights. She has been known to cover the humanitarian crisis’ in the Middle East and Africa.
Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller are American artists. They are most notable known for their audio walks. They created a new style of art that immersed more than just the visual sense. Many of their greatest pieces are sound art and installation art.
A few ways in which Addario and Cardiff-Miller art is similar is that both artists want to provide the viewer with something they can take away from the piece.
There are many ways in which Addario and Cardiff-Miller differ when it comes to their art work. Addario is a photographer and photographs issues of conflict to bring awareness to the view where as Cardiff and Miller create art installments and are more popularly known for their sound art.
I Bielefeld that it is important to show the gritty edge of the real world as we all know the world is not perfect. However, I would not say it is more or less important than “whimsy and inner-dialogue.” I do think that the whimsical mind does satisfy some deep human desires and is not just for entertainment.
I would prefer a career like Cardiff-Miller. I am really able to connect with their works as I am a musician and I believe music is one of the greatest ways to get a point across to the listener
